The last time I actually did this was like five years ago. I either completely forgot or pushed it back for so long that I had forgotten. Either way, I forgot, lol. But after another round of dumping out a bunch of unnecessary, overly random posts, I had to do another recount and some adjustments. Anyway, funniest thing, when I went to the tags page, I could no longer see the “most popular tags” section. I did a little investigation around the site but still nothing so I’m going to scrap that.
So, moving on? Is Jun Ya still the reigning champion?
The answer? Yes, he is. It has been five years now and my lack of updates at times–due to various reasons, he’s still at the top with 167 posts. Considering it’s five years already, I say that’s slow progress anyway because it’s up only 21 posts. I meant, he was up more or less 18 posts just in one year–even if that was a slow year. So yeah, that was really slow. But possibly because I haven’t updated consistently anyway, so everyone suffered the same fate. I think it was also due to the fact that I deleted some pictures only posts as well so he suffered in that area. However, I think it was because I put in the placeholder posts for both Love Together and Love in Penghu that he didn’t suffer too greatly and was still able to maintain the top spot.
What about the others? Did they suffer too bad after the adjustments? Let’s look at the stats first before I dive into details, lol.
Achel Chang/ Zhang Xin Yu aka Xiao Xiao Yu – 151 posts (+15)
Joanne Tseng aka Qiao Qiao – 139 posts (+22)
Jacky Chu – 134 posts (+21)
Denny Tang Feng (Tang Jia Hao) – 99 posts (-14)
Wallace Huo – 97 posts (+10)
Pan Bo Xi – 83 posts (+20)
Ming Dao – 79 posts
Cyndi Wang – 71 posts (-4)
Mini Tsai/ Cai Huang Ru aka Dou Hua Mei – 69 posts
First off, my top 6 are still the same. Some adjustments were made and seriously, the deletion of some posts caused Tang Feng to lose posts instead of gaining. (Same fate with Cyndi actually.) Also, I stopped updating on some people completely–even before the lagging of updates in general so that was why.
I think out of the top 6, though, Qiao Qiao managed to gain without losing. Because I updated on her more consistently regarding her dramas and real-life stuff. I think I didn’t have to delete Jacky’s posts either but I couldn’t be too sure. He also benefited from song translations–on and off.
One other thing, some people might remember that I updated on Wallace passing the 100-mark already. However, because of post deletions, he got pulled down again. I think I have faith in him gaining more posts in the future. So yeah, no worries there.
And oh yeah, congrats to Ming Dao, Pan Bo Xi, and Dou Hua Mei for making top 10, they kicked Nic and Angela off the chart, lol. Sad for both but that was an interesting change of development. But it wasn’t too out of line. Regarding Pan Bo Xi and Dou Hua Mei, they were in The New World together and my obsession with them at one point helped them. I also updated on iHero whenever I could so yes, Dou Hua Mei reaped majorly over that. Not to mention how she has become one of my favorites in recent years so that helped as well.
What about Ming Dao? He gained because of 183 Club’s activeness with their several reunions and live performance. Not to mention I updated on The Missing twice. It wasn’t much but still, I think it was due to the fact that some posts got deleted so he was gaining because others were suffering, lol. Oh yeah, how could I forget that I had posted quite a few song translations for 183 Club as well? So that made sense with part of the gain.
Guess what? No ties with several parties like the previous two times that I updated on this. However, I noticed that Janine had already passed Nic by and could possibly make top ten in the upcoming year. The other person to watch out for is Calvin since he’s tied with Angela right now. I haven’t updated on Angela as actively as I would like to so that’s why she’s been suffering in post counts. The other person currently tying with Angela is Ehlo. (My golden couple in The Dating Game, lol.) He’s probably the third 183 Club member to make top ten in the near future. Possibly also like Janine, it would be within the next year. I think he would have made it if I didn’t hold back on some updates on song translations.
So, what now? I’ll try to remember to update next year so we could see the difference. However, I will try and update at the beginning of the year, lol. I know it’s almost the end of the year now, but we’ll see how much I manage to pull off, huh? The gap will probably be less embarrassing but who knows?
